Hahn machinery- HFP 160 for Skidsteer

Postby J conn » December 5th, 2009, 11:08 pm

Has anyone seen or using the Hahn Machinery HFP 160 Firewood processor for a skidsteer? Is it really fast? How does it compare to the built-rite or blockbuster? Do you what they are selling for? What kind of company is Hahn Machinery for doing business with? Thanks

I watched a demo video of it once. I cant say I would want anything to do with that. The guy was beating the crap out of the skidloader, bouncing all over heck, it didnt look that fast, and he was processing above the cab. If you dont have a cab you have a face full of sawdust, and if you do, you will bust your window out when you drop a piece of firewood wrong. Trust me it will happen even if they say it wont...

Hi everyone! I'm Jerry. I just started working for a new company up here in Norwich, Ontario, Canada that manufactures log splitters and wood chippers. It's called Split-Fire sales. These are the good quality log splitters. We have the ones that are self contained and for road use; also the ones that a farmer can use with his PTO or on a skid steer. Check us out at www.split-fire.com. Thanks!

I've visited the website of the Split-Fire that could be a good machinery. I've tried to compare it on some other machines, then I just though that it might be better.

I think it is a great machine. If you look at the vid,you will see that the sawdust is quite aways away from you and I would think as in any processor, you would be behind safty glass.A guy in Mass. has one and processes up to 2 cord an hour with it.I would agreethat the guy in the vid was bouncing it around a lot but just the way it is.Takes the place of a cutter, splitter, conveyer and something to move it around.great machine either for a skidsteer or a excavator

They don't. The slip rings pick up the electric current induced in the rotor windings and send the current out to be used by the load. Alternators generate alternating current.

If you are talking about an AC motor, the AC is supplied to the slip rings which sends the AC current through the rotor. That generates an oscillating magnetic field that opposes the AC field in the stator, forcing the rotor to spin. The phase of current in the rotor is slightly offset from the phase of the current in the rotor.
